Here's the short version. When you take our quiz, you tell us a few things about your business. We use that to give you your read and to get back to you. That's it. We don't sell your details, we don't spam you, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.
The longer version is below. It's written in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
What If We Did? is a content studio run by Jah Brown, a sole trader based in the UK. When this page says "we" or "us", it means Jah.
If you have a question about your data, email [YOUR EMAIL]. A real person reads it.
What we collect
When you take the quiz: - Your name, your business name, your email and, if you choose, your phone number - Your quiz answers (things like your type of business, who does your content now, and your rough budget) - Your website or Instagram link, if you give it - Your rough region, worked out from your device's time zone, so the page can use local wording
When you visit the site: - Nothing that tracks you. We don't use tracking cookies, ad pixels or analytics tools. - Like every website, our host (Netlify) keeps basic server logs, such as your IP address, for security.
When you become a client: - Contact and billing details, and the logins or files you share so we can do the work.
Why we collect it
We only use your details to: 1. Give you your quiz result. 2. Get back to you about it, usually with a free video audit of your profile. 3. Do the work, if you become a client. 4. Keep simple business records, because the law says we have to (for example, invoices).
The legal reasons, if you want them: you asked us to (your consent when you tick the box), we need it to work with you (a contract), or we have to keep it (legal duty).
Who else sees it
We use a few trusted tools to run the site. They only get what they need to do their job:

Some of these companies store data outside the UK, for example in the US. When that happens, they use the legal safeguards UK law requires.
We never sell your details. We never pass them to other businesses to market to you.
How long we keep it
- Quiz leads who don't become clients: up to 12 months, then we delete them.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, then up to 6 years for tax and accounting records.
- Anytime you ask: we delete it sooner, unless the law says we must keep it.
Your rights
It's your data. You can ask us to: - show you what we hold about you - fix anything that's wrong - delete it - stop contacting you - give you a copy to take elsewhere

If you're not happy with how we handled something, tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Keeping it safe
Your details sit with the tools above, which use strong security. Only Jah can see your quiz answers. We never ask for your passwords by email, and when you give us access to your accounts for client work, we use the platforms' own team access where we can.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll tell you.
